Adria Buchanan currently serves as Executive Director of the Fair Housing Center of Washington.
A self-described "urban warrior with small town values," she is a seasoned compliance professional who engages stakeholders at the nexus of compliance, consumer protection, and community. In previous roles, Adria provided consulting to municipalities on Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, re-built vendor management compliance programs and supported neighborhood revitalization efforts throughout the east coast. Adria holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.A. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware’s Biden School of Public Policy. She is also a certified mediator, arbitrator and ESL teacher. She is originally from Los Angeles, CA but spent much of her childhood in Gig Harbor, WA.
